Technical SEO analysis of AI sources

The software does not perform a domain-wide audit: it analyzes only sources appearing in AI answers. Inspect technical conditions and available search-engine data for those URLs.

API measurements and separately measured interfaces can produce different results. Measurements describe the configured prompts and retrieval context.

What question does it answer?

A page cited by AI may need technical checks. Analysis starts from the AI source list rather than a crawl of every page on the domain. Findings describe the sources that appeared, not the entire website.

Technical checks for sources appearing in AI answers

The AI SEO module connects own and tracked competitor source URLs with readiness, Performance, CrUX and available indexing data.

Intren - SEOFixed admin examples · own source URLs

Not a full domain audit: the software analyzes only sources appearing in AI answers. It does not crawl every page on the domain. Domain CrUX and connected Google/Bing sitemap data provide supplementary context; they do not turn source-URL analysis into a full website audit.

AI-readiness: URL-level details

Filter by HTTP code, file type, URL scope and tags, then expand a source. Details cover metadata, headings, schema, semantic HTML, canonical and robots signals, plus technical measurements. URL CrUX is missing in this example, while Domain CrUX is SLOW; missing data is not a zero score.

Google URL Inspection for own sources that appeared

The homepage, about and social-media pages are shown as submitted and indexed, with zero errors and warnings. Each row has its own update timestamp. This is a search-engine indexing signal, not proof of an AI citation.

Google sitemap data: connected background information

Search Console property sitemaps show types, web, image and video URL counts, errors, warnings and timestamps. The example sitemap index reports 174 web URLs and 637 image URLs. These are connected property figures, not counts of URLs fully audited by this software.

Bing sitemap and crawl data returned by the search engine

Supplementary site-level Bing Webmaster Tools data includes sitemaps, crawl errors and crawl statistics. The screenshot shows five sitemaps/feeds and 704 sitemap URLs, with status and last crawl timestamps for each entry. This is an API summary, not a full domain audit.

Readiness summarises technical signals and does not guarantee an AI recommendation or citation. Lab performance measurements, CrUX field data and search-engine indexing status are separate measurements; findings apply only to the examined scope.

What do you see?

  • HTTP status, title, meta description, headings, canonical, robots, and schema.
  • AI-readiness scores, PageSpeed tests, and Core Web Vitals field data where available.
  • Google and Bing URL inspections and indexing signals with authorised data connections.

How do you use it to decide?

  1. Filter source URLs appearing in AI answers by own or tracked competitor scope, HTTP code, file type and tags.
  2. Open URL readiness details: metadata, structure, indexability and technical measurements.
  3. Use connected Google or Bing URL Inspection data to check indexing status; read sitemap data as supplementary context.
  4. Identify targeted tasks for the source URL and track subsequent AI citations separately.

One source URL, several distinct technical signals

In the Intren – SEO example, the intren.hu homepage has a readiness score of 96, HTTP status 200, Performance 52 and Accessibility 91. Google URL Inspection reports it as indexed. These are measurements for that URL, not confirmation that every page on the domain is healthy.

Fixed project figures from the supplied admin screenshots. Readiness is not an official AI ranking metric or a citation guarantee.

What does measurement require?

Accessible source URLs appearing in AI answers are required. Indexing and sitemap data need authorised Search Console or Bing Webmaster connections. CrUX requires enough field samples; missing data does not mean a zero result.

Frequently asked questions

Does a high readiness score guarantee citations?

No. It summarises measured technical signals and is not an official ranking metric from AI providers.

How do PageSpeed and CrUX differ?

PageSpeed can include lab tests. CrUX aggregates real Chrome user field data; scope and measurement periods can differ.

Does a missing meta description prevent AI citations?

That alone does not establish such a relationship. Review technical issues in context and track actual citations separately.

Why can indexing status be unknown?

An authorised connection, a measurement, or a clear search-engine response may be missing. Unknown does not mean confirmed non-indexed.

Which issues should I investigate first?

Access, HTTP, and canonical problems on important frequently cited pages are useful starting points. For partial retrievals, verify data validity first.

Why is CrUX data missing?

Field data requires enough real-user samples. Missing data does not mean zero performance. Interpret PageSpeed lab measurements separately.
